Re: Zim Saamtrek
Still some time to go to April to make final arrangments, but 04:00 at the Petroport sounds ok, (except for the little sleep!!).
E. It's not just a 4x4, it's a Syncro........ |

Re: Zim Saamtrek
Stu, I spend so much time on the Bus this year, I'll need to get a really decent offer to let her go. Been putting on miles again after the last fight and must say the 800km just made me realised why I bought the Syncro 22months ago. just to get my hands on a auto! I'll live with it till I can not be able to get in the bus, and then I'll get in the back on a wheelchair .

Re: Zim Saamtrek
Hi Guys
i have just spoken to the booking clerk at Zim parks, Mandavu dam, Masuma Pan and Shumba pan all only take max 12 pax per site, we will need to book 2 sites if we want to stay there, Mandavu to Masuma is approx 10km and Masuma to Shumba about 13km, what do you think or should we just do a 2nd night at Cinamatella. please let me know your thoughts. my suggestion is 2 nights at Cinamatella, easier and cheaper, no need to split the group up!!!!! as stated before cut off for this trip is 10 dec 2013, we will need to pay for the accom in Bots up front, and pay upfront if we want the special camps in Hwange. another thought for those wanting to stock up on supplies in Francistown, is to make day one longer and go to Francistown via Zanzibar border post. Km's same as via Palapye to Francistown. If we do that, my suggestion is to camp at the Marang Hotel campsite in Francistown Cost is P81 per person, Woodlands is 20km north out of town so you would need to travel back to shop, cost is also higher at P105ppn. Pula is approx R1.20 for conversion purposes. I will start to book on the 11th of dec, will confirm what payments are needed. will need payment ASAP when booking done, no payment no trip sorry. Hwange NP, no bookings needed for Robins camp and Cinamatella, we just need to confirm dates and number of pax etc with them. We need to book and pay for the special camps if we want them. please those coming with, forward me you mail address so i can mail everyone costs, Gps points etc etc, please send email details to either: sds at mweb dot co dot za or 083 629 9951 Stuart 083 629 9951 I may be a mechanic, but i can't fix stupid Bad planning on your part does not make your issue an crisis to me Bad workmanship by other garages does not entiltle you to better rates at me Syncro, syncro , syncro and more syncro, this is the syncro way of life |
