RE: engine transplant
I am back again with all the dumb questions........ just so i understand all correctly
1) upright 2.0l golf is easier to fit than sleepy and lasts longer
2) 2E golf is better than ADY or AGG because it has to correct dizzy etc
3).MP9 management is easy to find and works well ( from which vehicle does this come?)
4) just an adaptor plate and golf flywheel needed ( from Stuart or Dean)
Sorry if i sound stupid but i need to way up all the options and why reinvent the wheel..... when there are so many guys who have done this
I see there are engine importers that advertise the complete 2E, ADY or AGG for R5500
I am not sure if complete means with engine management or not
I presume the golf starter would also be used then
Reg

Life's a journey, enjoy the ride.......in comfort in a syncro!!!

RE: engine transplant
Agg ady is better than 2e. Torque 1000 rpm lower. Mp9 from citi golf and polos. Need a wiring harness and modified ecu. Adaptor etc. Upright is better.

I may be a mechanic, but i can't fix stupid
Bad planning on your part does not make your issue an crisis to me
Bad workmanship by other garages does not entiltle you to better rates at me
Syncro, syncro , syncro and more syncro, this is the syncro way of life
