Gauteng Syncro Day 2014
Seems like they dont allow any 2wd on 4x4 trail. Hope that was not part of your plan Enkie?

RE: Gauteng Syncro Day 2014
That was certainly the plan. We did it last year at Hennops and it was great fun. We also had a VW "Thing" at the outing.
I hope they allow it if we take full responsibility. Many obstacles that don't present a challenge to a Syncro (or most other 4x4's for that matter) can be a nice challenge in a good 2x2. I believe it also teaches you the basics about traction etc. Especially good for youngsters.
But then again many 4x4 owners (mega bucks, super tech), don't like the idea that a cheap 2wd could even think of invading their territory.

It's not just a 4x4, it's a Syncro........

Gauteng Syncro Day 2014
Would really loved to attend but we are going to "Kragdag" this weekend already and funds are running low because of all the projects.
Dean, try and arrange earlier for next year, maybe in a warmer month as well ;-)

Count us out on this one, sorry

But in your above mentioned message you shared that he was willing to give club discount?
What went wrong?

RE: Gauteng Syncro Day 2014
Dean I have spoken to the guys at foreplay 4x4 track , and they will only charge us R50 per van. They have a toilets, wash up and food prep area. I have never seen the track or layout and propose we take a drive out there to see if its a option (and to test my new button clutch). its between Jhb and Pta so its central. No overnight camping. RE: Gauteng Syncro Day 2014
another idea, why don't we do a weekend away to Pilanesberg, camp and enjoy the outdoor life rather than a 4x4 track?

but obviously we will need conformation on numbers before hand to make a booking, Manjane camp is always nice and neat, good ablutions last time i was there, has a pool, restaurant, bar, shop ,bottle store, putt putt, aviary etc and the Park is always good, has nice picnic sit e in the park for breakfasts etc

I may be a mechanic, but i can't fix stupid
