14" to 15" Steelies
I was wondering if anyone ever changed the original 14" steel rim to 15"?
15" steel that is.....

I would like to do the upgrade but would love to keep the chrome hub caps.
I prefer the classic look so ill need 15" rims that is compatible with my chrome hub caps.

Reason for upgrade is to put bigger tires for more comfortable drive and the possibility of upgrading to bigger brakes in the near future.

I know its not a Syncro but at least related ;-)

My Double Cab came with 15 inch steelies, but I have since changed to alloy wheels

I am planning on ordering some hub caps from Go Westy for my 15" steel rims.I was under the impression that they did fit.

RE: 14" to 15" Steelies
Hi Bruce those are for 14",

Izan, buy some of the beetle clips and rivet them onto the 15"steel rim, spacing as per a beetle rim, they were 15"

Bruce, those are bay/ early T3 14" hub caps

but for both of you just buy the beetle clips and rivet them onto the 15" steel rims as per the beetle spacing, stock beetle rims were also 15"

You can order them from VWSA - they cost about R350 a rim if I recall

Hi Nico.

Are those the 15" ET30 steel rims you are talking about? Do you have the VW part number perhaps?

Yes, 15" ET30 - don't have the part number to hand - it's on another hard drive that I can't access. Stuart took mine off me, as I had no further use for them. Maybe he has a part number.
