Syncro Doka Build, 4 door doka
Hi all

we have started to build the 4 door syncro doka

donor syncro cut already, was a syncro a bought that was badly repaired after it fell over or rolled.

will be painted sunshine yellow, with black trim, 15" wheels, roll bar with 2x spare wheels, caravelle spec'd interior in Black material.

probably a 2.0i golf motor, cos i have one, taking it out my caddy bakkie to fit a AAZ 1.9tdi motor

but Maybe a 5cyl 20 valve, 2.3i, depending on how well Enkie's bus drives,

5,43 diff ratio gearbox, both lockers, power-steering, no aircon at this stage

stuart

Bad workmanship by other garages does not entiltle you to better rates at me

Is such a multi-valve engine easy to get hold of then?

Why no aircon?

RE: Syncro Doka Build, 4 door doka
Hi

the 20 valve was a complete PITA to find, 2 weeks of driving around from importer to importer in Guateng, when we eventually found this one, there was another guy who had first option on it, luckily we paid up first and got it.

no ac, as space is a hassle in a doka, in a bus the chiller sits above the motor, in a doka above the seats, may fit a dash ac unit later.

stuart
