Yes from Waltloo testing station while I was busy doing the new registration papers. SAP and traffic idiots on the site plus the gate is supposed to stop people to show their keys before he opens, but 4 previously disadvantaged men got out of a white Conquest and drove off with it. Despite being locked and having the gearlock on. Got the registration and report from a bystander who had his small baby with him and didn't want to get involved. Turns out the Conquest is registered to a non existent address in Mamelodi. So much for having to produce proof of residence when you register a vehicle.

I'm still pissed when I just think about it. R90k and 6 months work gone in a few minutes. The thing that bugs me the most is that it had a brand new Erlemans recon box in and a set of the truck mirrors. Fcukers!

Anyway, did you buy it? (Apologies for the hijack Maranoux)

It takes me 5 minutes to calm down after reading that. After a year and a half of building my van from the ground up, and being ripped off whenever you take your van in for something and they give you bust parts and charge you for new. I finally took it for police clearance only to have some moz without a licence drive into me .
He walked away scott free and I was left to pay for my damages .
Still better than having my van stolen . I will stop complaining now.
Yes I did buy the van , as a donor van for another one that I want to start rebuilding as soon as my new workshop is done.

In all things that don't succeed at first, change your approach and try again.

approx 50 to 80mm, depending on tyre size

I may be a mechanic, but i can't fix stupid
Bad planning on your part does not make your issue an crisis to me
Bad workmanship by other garages does not entiltle you to better rates at me
Syncro, syncro , syncro and more syncro, this is the syncro way of life
