Engine
Looking for (preferably 2 .1) reliable engine. Planning Botswana trip.
Current 2.1 engine done over about 2 year ago - but a do not feel comfortable with it. (Mechanic say compression ok but a feel it do not have enough power - smokey at times?!) .
I do have bus with 2,2 Audi 5 cylinder / Weber engine - running (retired ) and one with 2l toyota (without) turbo diesel, running but battle to start. (Bought for spares, but will get it running at one stage). So I got whatever conversion kit required for those engines.
Thanks

Good morning Dirk
Agree with Stuart ! Sold my 2.1 in running condition and fitted 2L Golf with MP9 management ! Getting stuck with the 2.1 can be very costly on a trip like that !
Regards Derick
