New starter needed - options?
Hi all,

My starter is giving hassles. Every 5th start or so it whirrs and doesn't engage. I believe the bendix gear needs replacing. I can't seem to find a replacement bendix and am having trouble finding a replacement starter (if I have to). The only one I could find is a KTR from Diesel Electric, but its pretty pricey. Any other options?

Thanks,
Nick

Goldwagon do a high torque starter for the 2.1 bellhousing. This starter is great as it dose not need the
Brass bush for the nose of the starter.

Thanks, Russel. When I went there yesterday they said they had nothing. Do you have a part no for that one? Does it fit straight on without an adapter plate?

I don't have a part number. I have one in the workshop so will take a photo and post it up. It has an adapter built onto the starter.

Here's a photo of said starter.

And of the nose.
