Best alternative to BF
Hi all.
I have for many years now used BF Goodridge tires on my syncro's with not one puncture or side wall shred. I have had lots of cuts in the treads due to driving on
sharp slate etc. that can be expected but never had a tire fail due to conditions being to harsh. These have been used in all conditions from snow to rock to desert.
Now my question is: wot is the best available alternative in SA to the BF all terrain and mud terrain.
These must be available in sizes 235 85 16 and 31X10.5 r 15
Thanx
Russel

Re: Best alternative to BF
i dont know about over there russel but i`m very happy with the general grabber at2`s as an AT. I think they have stopped that pattern now because BFG complained they were too similar.

khumo kl71 are good as MT`s although i find they are getting louder as they are wearing. when they are new they are very quiet for a MT.

ps. whats the weather like. 8-)

lee.

The General grabber is a nice tire, will have to check its availability and price here.
We had a lot of wind and rain yesterday but nothing like you guys have been having. But about 14 degrees warmer than you Big Grin . And we are going into winter.

Best alternative to BF
The KL71 is a very nice looking MT with reasonable price.
Reviews ive seen complaints about the fact that its directional & quicker wear than other MTs.

What about Pirelli Scorpions... Their MT looks the meanest of all MTs & the are definite competition for BF!

You can get them here but the price i was quoted is twice wot i was paying in the UK for them. And i am definitely not paying that for a tire.

Re: Best alternative to BF
Price is important as to everyone but when 1 tire is priced at R3200.00 :o thats a joke. Times that by 6 :o
I was paying £115 for the same tire in the UK and they all come from America aswell.

Wot milage is expected from the bighorns and are they not remoulds.
