Anti- Roll Bar
Does disconnecting the Anti- Roll Bar have any gain in off-roading like with other 4x4s?

Re: Anti- Roll Bar
It will help but will affect your on road use more than your of-road gain.

Re: Anti- Roll Bar
Really not worth it the CV's stop articulation before the anti roll bar does.

I may be a mechanic, but i can't fix stupid
Bad planning on your part does not make your issue an crisis to me
Bad workmanship by other garages does not entiltle you to better rates at me
Syncro, syncro , syncro and more syncro, this is the syncro way of life

Thanks Russel

The idea was to only try this off-road. ;-)

Stuart

My logic tells me that the extended wheel might not be affected(as you advised) but the "compressed" one will move more freely into the arch.

I would like to test this but in an extreme articulated situation I understand the the one will extend only as far as the CV allows but the upward travel on the opposite wheel should be better if the AR-Bar is disconnected.

Re: Anti- Roll Bar
My Bus is in for some bodywork, as soon as it comes back im testing this in a practical way.

Anti-Roll Bar connected/disconnected driving one wheel up a "ramp"...
Im going to measure at what hight the wheels start spinning...

This will be tested in reverse and in "L" gear..

This test should proof if there is any usable gain.
