Was the Syncro imported (a knocked down kit) or was it build in ZA? I believe that my 1990 was perhaps a test mule from VWSA as it has a top box for the engine that looks factory, a 100l tank and 16" suspension and brakes, fuse box on right hand side etc. It can be a custom conversion, but it's just too many thing's that seemed to be different to the wbx from the era. When did VWSA ceased production of the wbx?
