Intake manifold 2.6
Hi Guys

I`m driving a 2.6 microbus and cylinderhead needs replacing (cracked).I found a cylinderhead locally from an Audi 500 5 cylinder(I think K-jettronic).Everything is the same (exhaust manifold and head gasket) except the intake manifolds. My injectors fits inside the intake manifold(2 piece intake manifold and the Audi`s inside the cylinder head(single piece intake manifold).A local mechanic recommend I block off the injectors in the cylinder head, make an intake manifold spacer plate and use my fuel intake manifold and fuel injection system.Does anyone know if this can be done and if so please give me some pointers and recommendations.2.6 microbus cylinderheads ar quite scarce this side of the country Eastern Cape.

I've got stock and can courier you a cylinder head
You cannot use an Audi head on a 2.6 the ports are different size and shape and height of head is different

Better you fit the correct part then spend the cash and not come right

RE: Intake manifold 2.6
Hi there,
as we discussed yesterday

basically, you have a carb 2cyl motor fitted to your combi, very under powered, 5 cyl came in various sizes and power out puts, from 1.9 litre, 2.0, 2.1. 2.2, 2,3, 2.5 to 2.6 litre. some were carb only, some were K-jet fuel injection, later had electronic FI

to get yours back to a fully functional 2.5i, you will need a AAY code, 2.5 motor, which i have one of, the full k-jet fuel injection system which i also have,

then it needs to be properly installed, which we can do,

hassle is just the cost to do it,

or option b, fit a 2.0i golf motor, costs a little more now, but better in the long run.
