Wbx 6 3.2i Fi problems
Hi Guys

I am sending my Wbx6 in for a Go tech fuel management tommorrow, this will hopefully get rid of the "kangarooing" at 2000rpm and sort out the cold start hassles as well.

We are going to leave all the wbx management in the bus just unplugged and just "piggyback" the onto the system. so it will look standard and can be replugged in if the gotech gives hassles.

Cost is going to be R 6500-00 fully installed and dyno'ed. They will also do a before the fitment and after the Gotech dyno for me. so we will have a Wbx6 dyno print out as well.

hopefully it will make the Big six work well.

Re: Wbx 6 3.2i Fi problems
Hi Guys

I just got the wbx6 back from having a gotech fitted. seems very nice, "kangarooing" seems to be fixed. will check the cold start in the morning.

here are the figures:
VW management VS gotech
2000rpm 44 BHp and 156 nm 50 bhp and 177 nm
3000 rpm 76 bhp and 179 nm 91 bhp and 215 nm
4000 rpm 98 bhp and 173 nm 118 bhp and 209 nm
5000 rpm 65 bhp and 92 nm 92 bhp and 174 nm

Will drive it the weekend and see how much better the fuel economy and performance is.
think it will be worth the effort and cash if it coldstarts better and drives smoother.
Not sure how to scan the graph and post it.

Sounds very interesting. I assume the idle is constant too and compensates for aircon etc like usual cars? I see better torque figures! As if these motors arent strong enough already, all the better to get a new gearbox sooner
Getting that familiar feeling again, the one when money is flowing out of the bank! Women, cars, yachts!

Re: Wbx 6 3.2i Fi problems
Just back from the first test drive and a BMW driver with very big eyes , seeing a syncro disappear down the road in front of him. has a slight idle issue, but will sort that in the morning, leak in the intake manifold, seems to be much smoother than before.
