Daylight Robbery
I was short of the hardware needed to attach the door bumper extensions to the plastic brackets on the door, so ordered the required parts from Barons. What do you think two 6mm gutter bolts, two pieces of rectangular flat steel bar, two 6mm lock washers and two 6mm nuts cost?

R115 !!!

Yes, I could have gone to a harware store and tried to source the bolts etc there, but they were not the problem, it was those two rectangular bits of steel plate that cost over R100. Thing is try going to buy a piece of steel bar, have it cut to size (usually minimum charge per oder) then drive to an electro-plater, leave the items there, go back and fetch them and again pay a minimum charge and you are back to Barons pricing. I still think it was a rip-off because VW ordered them by the thousand.

Re: Daylight Robbery
Agreed!! Some of the local prices are ridiculous.
