wbx6 motor popped
last night on the way to a break down in Warmbaths i popped the motor on my wbx6, geared back to overtake, a puff, no a cloud of white smoke, no power. oil all over the place towed it home, and parked it up for a few weeks.

will be replacing it with a 3.3 SVX subaru motor, going to order it tommorrow,.

will remove the 3.2 oettinger in a few weeks time and see what popped, the motor will be for sale if some one wants to rebuild it, with the Oe management. using the go tech on the suby

Stuart

Re: wbx6 motor popped
In theory the 3.2 is the ultimate Syncro but I think, in reality if you have one, somewhere in the back of your mind you know you are sitting on a time bomb and it's only a matter of time before there is an expensive bang.

I think the 3.3 SVX must be one of the ultimate conversions. I'm sure you are going to be a very happy Syncronaught Stuart when this conversion is done.

Here are some pics to cheer you up!

Ian

Re: wbx6 motor popped
Just looking at some more pics I have of the Subaru SVX. What a beautiful, neat and well thought out package. Kind of reminds me of the 2.1 WBX.

Re: wbx6 motor popped
we did one earlier this year for a customer, 3.3 svx, really goes well. we'll see how much better it goes with the long ratio diffs. a four and a six are the same to install, just a bit more space with the 4.
