Subaru 3.3 in my syncro
hi guys

i ordered my 3.3 SVX suby motor yesterday, should be here on the 21st, i also ordered a 2.5 NA suby for a customer, wants to do a conversion in dec. will be ordering the fly wheel and adaptor plates today, will have engine mounts made up in the next month or so. now just to decide if i want to order the $ 500 plus shipping shorter ali sump for the 3.3i suby and the 2.5 as well.

Here are the specs on the suby EJ33
Engine Capacity: 3319 cc
Cylinders: F6
Max. Power: 230.2 PS / 227 bhp / 169.3 kW @ 5600 rpm
Max. Torque: 309.0 Nm / 228 ft.lb / 31.5 kgm @ 4800 rpm

The fly wheel and adaptor has been ordered, will be ready on tues for collection.

Re: Subaru 3.3 in my syncro
Just get the sump done here. I'm sure I can organise it for less than $500. Isn't the original sump steel? That shouldn't be too hard to modify? Ok it wouldn't look as nice as a custom alloy one but I prefer steel sumps for a Syncro anyway.

Re: Subaru 3.3 in my syncro
hi ian

thanks, we modified the last 2.5 we did, so i might go that route, it is a steel sump, just need to bulge it on the sides or make a dry sump set up. want to keep the oil capacity about the same or make it more. hardly ever use the big e=window for serious off road, but mainly as a tow car or for long trips.
