Re: Mercedes Sprinter Diesel 4X4
Yep these are awesome vehicles. They were originally done by Iglhaut Allrad in conjunction with MB but now they are done with kits supplied by Oberaigner and installed by Travelstar in Knysna I think. Oberaigner is the OE supplier for most of MB's 4x4 systems. The VW Crafter and MB Sprinter are fundementally the same vehicle with just a few cosmetic differences so the basic hardware of the 4x4 kit is the same. All done with OE parts, no toyota stuff. Lots of options as well. Difflock, esp, low range etc. Very nice but very expensive.

Re: Mercedes Sprinter Diesel 4X4
They had so much money left over after not wasting any on schools and hospitals!

Apparently it is to combat cable theft. A 6 million rand solution to a 1 million rand problem!

Re: Mercedes Sprinter Diesel 4X4
best is it will stand in a garage for about 6 months, all the equipment will get stolen then it will be auctioned off for 100k to some lucky guy
